Laboratory Dishwasher

ALS Group USA dba BioScreen Testing Services is a well-established industry leader in consumer product and pharmaceuticals testing. The Torrance, CA laboratory provides testing services to the Pharmaceutical/Biotech, Medical Device and OTC/Personal Care industries. ALS/BioScreen has established itself as a leading cGMP contract-testing laboratory. The company is focused on the highest quality standards and has obtained laboratory approval to test pharmaceutical products for many of the industry’s leading companies.


The Laboratory Assistant will be responsible for will be responsible for organizing and coordinating glassware in the laboratory.



The Laboratory Assistant has the following duties:

Wash, organize and coordinate glassware in Chemistry and Microbiology laboratory per Standard Operating Procedures.
Clean and sanitize laboratory benches, shelves, temperature-controlled units and all surrounding areas.
Clean and sanitize Sterility clean room suite.
Assist in cleaning and sanitizing all other areas of the company as needed.
Follow cGDP and cGMPs to ensure adherence to FDA, ICH and DEA government regulations.
Work with laboratory staff as needed.
Maintain your own in laboratory notebooks according to cGMP and internal guidelines.
Maintain an understanding of and ensures compliance to Quality System including the manual, system procedures (cGMPs and cGDPs) and procedures as applicable to ISO 9001.
Maintain a clean and organized laboratory workspace.
Exercise Laboratory safety practices.
Other duties as assigned.


Position Requirements:

High School Diploma or equivalent.
0 to 1 years of Laboratory experience is preferred.

Core Competencies:

Proficient verbal and written communication skills.
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
Proficient computer skills, specifically Microsoft Office.
Must be able to effectively perform duties under pressures arising from large sample volumes and short turn around times.
Ability to work independently and/or in a team environment.
Ability to follow instruction and work in a face paced environment.

Other Requirements:

Must be able to sit, stand, bend, push, pull, stoop and crouch up to 80% of the time while performing the duties of this position.
Position may require the lifting of items up to 25 lb in weight.
May require weekend rotations as needed.

Salary range: $18.00 - $20.00
