The State Water Resources Control Board’s Division of Water Rights has an opening for two Senior Environmental Scientist Specialists within the Division’s Bay Delta Section 2. The position is located at 1001 I Street, Sacramento, right in the heart of downtown next to light rail stations and other public transportation.

Duties:
This position offers a unique and challenging opportunity to work with a multidisciplinary team to update and implement the Bay-Delta Water Quality Control Plan. These positions will lead portions of efforts to establish and implement flow objectives and other measures to protect fish and wildlife beneficial uses. Duties include preparation of ecological analyses and environmental documents, coordination with managers and leaders of state and federal agencies, and oversight of scientific aspects of contracts and grant agreements related to aquatic resources in the Bay-Delta watershed.

Salary information – CalHR salary rules allow appointment at the entrance rate (Cal. Code Regs., tit. 2, § 599.673) of a classification. For classes with alternate ranges, placement is based on education/experience.
