Laboratory Analyst (Microbiology)- Houston, TX
EMSL Analytical, Inc., one of the largest environmental testing firms in the United States, is currently seeking a Full Time Laboratory Analyst -Microbiology for its Houston, TX laboratory location. Join our team to support health indoor air quality and in helping live and breathe better.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Preparation and analysis of environmental samples for fungal structures using optical and phase contract microscopy. (We do not test clinical samples).
Maintaining quality control records as needed and some clerical work may be involved for data entry.
Requirements:
High School Diploma or equivalent.
No laboratory experience is necessary, just a desire to learn technical skills and become proficient in common laboratory procedures. On the job training will be provided!
Must be willing to work with microscopes, analytical balances, biological safety cabinets, and learn good laboratory practices.
Must be able to distinguish colors in order to perform analysis.
Good computer skills are important for data entry tasks.
Must have attention to detail and be willing to learn analytical skills.
Must be able to work independently and within a team environment.
Must be able to work under strict timelines in order to meet our clients' deadlines.
Available Shift:
Monday to Friday 9:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Training Schedule Monday to Friday 9:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.
