Workforce Development Analyst

The Human Resources department is currently seeking to fill two (2) Workforce Development Analyst (Analyst I/II) vacancies that will report to a Senior Analyst or the Program Manager of the Learning and Development Division.
The positions’ duties and its responsibilities would include, but would not be limited to, the following:
1.      Working with the Workforce Development team, the Analysts will develop and implement a program of activities with educational institutions from K-12, Career and Technical Education, and Colleges and Universities to inspire and attract students to public service in local government. The program of activities could include opportunities related to internships, fellowships, workshops, academies, job shadowing, career fairs, and mentorship all of which are generally considered workforce “pipeline” activities.

2.      Collaborate with the Employment team, as well as other internal and external stakeholders to streamline and improve recruitment processes to align with needs and expectations in the labor market (e.g. next generation), facilitate user centered research to more clearly identify the City’s value proposition to future City employees, and create aligned and consistent communication materials and content to improve job announcements and the outreach process.

3.      Provide support in the design, implementation, and continuous improvement of the Department-wide website and other web-related projects using customer focused, user friendly principles and research.

4.      Develop and implement the City’s Employee Pipeline Program including activities such as coordinating internship and fellowship events and coordinating job shadowing events.

5.      Supervise interns and/or clerical staff assisting with research and testing activities.
