Digital Media Content Producer

The Digital Content Producer will work both collaboratively and independently to build and manage a digital media presence through the creation and dissemination of multimedia content online, through social media, at the JYF museums, and other venues. This role will require skills in leading, coordinating and effectively strategizing with various JYF teams and stakeholders through the shared responsibilities of content development and management, while also growing internal and external community engagement.

Minimum Qualifications

-Demonstrated ability to effectively lead, coordinate and collaborate with multiple teams on a variety of projects.
-Experience and skilled in research, content creation, creative writing, scripting and editing for various age levels,
audience types and abilities.
-Highly computer literate, including experience working with both PC and Mac computers, Microsoft Office suite, Adobe Creative Cloud suite, or similar software.
-Working knowledge of HTML5.
-Professional experience in the use and management of social media, including search engine optimization best
practices across all platforms.
-Skilled in the monitoring of digital content usage and metrics, and the proven ability to analyze and effectively use
the collected data to measure progress, gauge content interest and identify needs.
-Working experience with developing, implementing and maintaining digital content, including the ability to use
graphics, video and interactive design to share information and create engaging experiences.
-Working knowledge of best practices in digital file storage, cataloguing and archiving.
-Strong written and oral communication skills.
-Successful time manager and collaborator with the ability to work well under deadlines.
-Commitment to work effectively with people of diverse cultures, ages, abilities, and economic backgrounds.
 

Additional Considerations

• Web design software experience is preferred.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Graduation from an accredited college/university with course work in graphic/interactive web design, social
media, communications, media production, early American history, museum studies or other related fields.
• Three years or equivalent experience designing and developing digital content.
• Additional graduate work in multimedia fields preferred.
• Prior museum experience preferred.
