Program Coordinator, IDEAL
Opportunity
- Are you passionate about learning new things, solving problems, and serving others?
- Do you want to facilitate environmental change and improve the effectiveness of climate, environment, and development programs worldwide?
- Do you want to help others have a positive impact on the environment?
That’s where Environmental Incentives comes in.
Purpose and Need
Our team of committed and creative professionals is helping organizations achieve their goals as they tackle some of the most pressing problems of our time: the climate crisis and achieving system-wide change for the good of communities and the planet. It is a core pillar of EI’s work helping client teams achieve durable change for good.
Environmental Incentives seeks to hire a Program Coordinator to join our growing company and to support USAID’s ability to plan and implement biodiversity conservation, natural climate solutions, and integrated programming. The Program Coordinator is a crucial member of the core management team of our portfolio. You will work directly with project leadership to provide coordination, administrative, and some technical support to EI’s implementation of work for clients and on internal initiatives. This may include, but is not limited to budgeting, contracting, recruiting, tracking, reporting, communications, and meeting support with various staff and teams. The Program Coordinator will also provide input to the development of client services and products, including contributing to draft agendas and documents, planning and facilitating meetings, and serving as a professional first point of contact for internal (and some client) communications.
The successful candidate will effectively work across teams to solve problems, create efficiencies, and communicate effectively. This role adeptly takes on a variety of tasks while helping to perpetuate existing best practices and establish new systems and procedures when needed.
One of the main contracts you will support is the Improving Design, Evidence, and Learning (IDEAL) activity. Under this activity, we are working with USAID’s Biodiversity and Natural Climate Solutions Divisions, as well as dozens of regional and in-country teams, to increase the effectiveness of environment programming by finding out what works, what doesn’t, and why.
