The State Water Resource Control Board’s Division of Financial Assistance has an opening for a Senior Engineering Geologist in the UST Cleanup Fund Hydrogeology and Engineering Section, Review Summary Report (RSR) Unit. As the Unit Lead for the RSR Unit, the incumbent provides a high level of hydrogeological expertise and supervisory skills related to the technical aspects of corrective action, underground storage tank (USTs) releases, and implementation of the Low Threat Case Closure Underground Storage Tank Policy. This position requires interaction with internal and external stakeholders and maintaining staff productivity. The work environment is fast-paced with opportunities to innovate and lead positive change.

The position is with the State Water Resources Control Board’s Division of Financial Assistance in the Underground Storage Tank (UST) Cleanup Fund Branch. The office is located at 801 K Street 8th Floor, Sacramento.

Salary information – CalHR salary rules allow appointment at the entrance rate (Cal. Code Regs., tit. 2, § 599.673) of a classification. For classes with alternate ranges, placement is based on education/experience.

Salary: $10,886 - $13,625 / month
