Graduate Fellow - Facies Classification

Overview

Facies classification using machine learning- Use geophysical well-log measurements and core descriptions to create a lithofacies database, develop and train a supervised-learning algorithm to learn relationships between features and classes, and use the algorithm to assign facies to wells that have not been described.

Preferred Skills:

• Experienced in coding (e.g., Python, R)
• geostatistics
• hydrogeophysics and their application to subsurface characterization, monitoring, and model parameterization

Must be a US citizen to be considered.
