Data Analyst - Renewable Energy

Energeia is seeking a highly-motivated Analyst/Associate to join a top performing team   who are bright, ambitious and committed making a difference in the energy sector. The work environment is friendly, fast-paced, varied and challenging.

Energeia provides technical economic based research and consulting services to major energy retailers, electricity distribution networks, regulators and policymakers. Energeia is the foremost energy specialized consulting firm in Australia and set up operations in Davis, California in 2015. We have developed a strong reputation as thought leaders in the US renewable energy landscape.

Position

Key responsibilities will be;

• Researching and writing reports on topical industry issues such as smart grids, micro-renewables, energy efficiency, demand management and electric vehicles,

• developing quantitative models,

• providing project reporting and support, and

• programming in Python.

Energeia’s US team is currently 11 people, as we are looking to rapidly grow the company to become America’s leading energy consultancy this role would suit a recent graduate who can transition to a Senior Associate role. Most of our key staff have joined Energeia via the consulting accelerator program. We also offer the opportunity to work in Sydney, Australia in the future.

The Successful Applicant

This fast paced, ground floor opportunity to join one of the fastest growing, elite international energy consultancies demands an agile, fast learning, outgoing, hard-working individual with an eye for detail who will go the extra mile to establish Energeia as the number one energy consultancy in the USA.

A degree majoring in Economics, Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics or Environmental Analysis would be desirable. Essential requirements are:

• first rate writing skills,

• strong organizational skills,

• minimum GPA of 3.5 in your major,

• advanced PowerPoint / Excel skills, and

• strong quantitative / analytical capability.

Programming skills such as Python would be advantageous, but are not essential.
