Job Title: Site Maintenance Specialist

Location(s): Grand Junction, CO

Status: Full-Time

FLSA: Non-Exempt

Hiring Range: $17.85 - $22.60/hr. (The anticipated starting salary pay range of $17.85 - $22.60/hr. is based on minimum requirements for this position. Minimum requirements are a High School (or equivalent) and at least 5 years of experience of relevant experience. The offered salary will be based upon the selected applicant’s education, training, and experience.)

RSI EnTech, LLC is recruiting for an Site Maintenance Specialist who will Act as the Office of Legacy Management (LM) Maintenance Team Lead for multiple western LM sites.

Under general supervision, employee performs maintenance, repairs, assist with weed monitoring and other duties as assigned. Employee participates in and/or organizes field activities involving Integrative work control process paperwork, promotes fieldworker safety, may conduct training, direct work activities of field personnel and interns.

 

This position is required to travel 50% to 75% of the time.

 

Primary responsibilities and essential functions:

  • Act as the Office of Legacy Management (LM) Maintenance Team for multiple western LM sites.
  • Under general supervision, employee performs maintenance, repairs, and assist with weed monitoring.
  • Assist in evaluating field work, preparing field work documentation, and completion reports.
  • Work with office personnel in planning field activities.
  • Assist in evaluating field work, preparing field work documentation, and completion reports.
  • Participates in and/or organizes field activities involving Integrative work control process paperwork, promotes fieldworker safety, may conduct training, direct work activities of field personnel and interns.
  • Work with office personnel in planning field activities.
  • Other duties as assigned.

 

Work experience, skills, and capabilities needed:

  • Level of language skills, mathematical skills, communication skills, reasoning ability and computer skills necessary to perform essential functions of the job.
  • Broad understanding of principles, concepts, and techniques in property maintenance.
  • Field work (safety, off road driving, trailer towing, logistics, weather conditions, rugged/remote terrain, associated technical/mechanical tasks).
  • Skill and ability to perform complex tasks independently with little instruction.
  • Skill and ability to perform mechanical and operational technical tasks associated with weed control.
  • Broad knowledge of trade techniques and practices in weed control projects.
  • Ability to work within established policies and procedures, using independent judgment and ingenuity.

 

Technical knowledge, certifications/licenses, and software proficiency required:

  • Ability to identify noxious weeds vs native plants.
  • Valid Driver’s License
  • Microsoft Office

 

Desirable qualifications, experience, or proficiencies of the ideal candidate:

  • Colorado Department of Agriculture Pesticide Applicator License or ability to obtain one.
  • Experience with fencing tools, chainsaw, heavy equipment, brush mowing, hand, and power tools.
  • Equipment operator certification.

Required Education and Years of Experience:

High School diploma with a minimum 5 experience.

 

Working Conditions and Physical Requirements: 

Physical Requirements: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts, fumes, or airborne particles and outside weather conditions. The employee is regularly exposed to work in high, precarious places, use of herbicides, risk of electrical shock, risk of contact with radioactive contamination. The noise level may be loud due to equipment or machinery used.

The employee exerts up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 20 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.

The employee is regularly required to use hands to handle or feel, to reach with hands and arms, and to talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, and regularly hike up to 5 miles with a 30lb. pack, on steep uneven terrain. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
