The State Water Resources Control Board’s Central Valley Region has a Staff Services Analyst opening in the Operational Support Unit. The position is located at 11020 Sun Center Drive, Suite #200, Rancho Cordova, CA 95670. Our office has a comfortable work environment, is conveniently located off Highway 50, offers free parking, and is near convenient shopping and many restaurants.

Duties:

Under the supervision of the Staff Services Manager I (SSM I) and consistent with good customer service practices and the goals of the State and Regional Board’s Strategic Plan, the incumbent is expected to be courteous and provide timely responses to internal/external customers, follow through on commitments, and to solicit and consider internal/external customer input when completing work assignments.

By providing analytical support to our technical staff, you play a vital role in restoring, enhancing, and preserving the quality of the Region’s water resources and drinking water for the protection of the environment, public health, and all beneficial use. The Staff Services Analyst (SSA) is responsible for providing timely and professional assistance to staff and the public with varied analytical tasks, assignments, and special projects associated with the planning, implementation, and administration of the Region’s asset management, allocation and reporting of project funds, Americans with Disabilities (ADA) document compliance, and other support services activities for the Administrative Program. The SSA will review laws and regulations to develop and update policies, procedures, and forms related to daily business operations. The SSA is required to work independently, communicate effectively, manage multiple tasks, formulate draft recommendations, and become proficient in all analytical duties. To best support functions for the Operational Support Unit, this position requires consistent and regular attendance; daily proficient utilization of office equipment and Microsoft Office Suite; and knowledge of departmental policies, procedures, and conduct.

Salary information – CalHR salary rules allow appointment at the entrance rate (Cal. Code Regs., tit. 2, § 599.673) of a classification. For classes with alternate ranges, placement is based on education/experience.
