Who we are:  We are a full-service Architectural firm located downtown San Rafael in beautiful Marin County. We aim to achieve our personal and professional goals through providing outstanding sustainable Architectural design services for our clientele. Our project types consist primarily of commercial buildings & restaurants. We strive towards project diversification and currently provide innovative design services, feasibility studies, disabled accessibility complinace assistance, Green Building technology, Permitting, interior planning, and site design services.

Who we are looking for: We are looking for a knowledgeable, hardworking, innovative, and proactive person with great communication skills, who is an organizational whiz. You should have the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment with minimal direction and be able to work independently. Your manner should be professional and courteous and you should be able to maintain a degree of confidentiality. You should work well with all employees and management.

Qualifications:

* 5+ years as a drafter in an architectural firm, preferably as a drafting lead.

* Knowledge of architectural concepts and rules, and a willingness to learn
* Extensive knowledge of AutoCAD 2005+ & demonstration of quality drafting techniques.

* Proficient in the use of Revit, Autocad 3D, 3DS Max or Photoshop to create 3D work.

* Ability to quickly and efficiently produce CAD drawings & details.

* Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Adobe Acrobat) experience is required. 
* B. Arch preferred but not required
* Superior organizational skills

* Ability to complete assignments capably and in a timely and thorough manner.

* Must show ability to problem solve, both individually and as part of a team

* Follow all office standards and systems (AutoCAD and administrative)
* Passion for all facets of the profession, articulate verbal and written skills, flexible personality
* An upbeat and professional attitude

Responsibilities:

* Drafting & drawing coordination from preliminary design to contract sets.

* Production of design/ working drawings, details, renderings and associated documents.

* Printing & packaging of drawing sets for permitting, bidding and contract purposes.

* Follow redlines given by Project Architects/Managers and governmental jurisdictions

* Coordinate CAD documents/ plot files/ with printing company(s)

* Job duties require the ability to lift at least 40lbs and to carry 40 lbs at least 100 feet

We would like someone in this position who has the drive to attain new skills and knowledge, be creative, and grow with us. This is not a beginners drafting position, candidate is expected to have intermediate to advanced knowledge of architectural drafting.
