The State Water Resources Control Board’s Division of Water Quality is recruiting for two Office Technician’s (OT) in the Fiscal & Program Analysis and Administrative Support Section.  The positions are located at 1001 I Street, 15th Floor, Sacramento, right in the heart of downtown next to light rail stations and other public transportation.

Under general supervision of the Staff Services Manager II and consistent with good customer service practices and the goals of the State and Regional Board’s Strategic Plan, the incumbent is expected to be courteous and provide timely responses to internal/external customers, follow through on commitments, and to solicit and consider internal/external customer input when completing work assignments.

Duties:

The Office Technician (Typing) (OT) is responsible for providing timely and professional clerical assistance to the public and staff within the Department, by phone, e-mail, mail, and in person. The OT is required to work independently, communicate effectively, manage multiple tasks and become proficient in clerical duties. Daily proficient utilization of office equipment and the Microsoft Office Suite is required.

Candidates must possess essential personal qualifications including integrity, initiative, dependability, good judgment, the ability to work cooperatively with others, and the ability to perform the assigned duties of the class.

Salary information – CalHR salary rules allow appointment at the entrance rate (Cal. Code Regs., tit. 2, § 599.673) of a classification. For classes with alternate ranges, placement is based on education/experience.
