Office Administrative Assistant

Sol Systems is seeking an Office Administrative Assistant to support the smooth operation of the office by providing administrative and organizational assistance. This role will coordinate administrative functions for our office to ensure that the team is operating as efficiently and productively as possible. This person should be resourceful and well-organized, while handling all aspects of administrative support. Key Responsibilities: 

  • Provide front desk support as well as greet guests and visitors
  • Oversee and distribute mail, assist with mailing documents
  • Invoice and document scanning
  • Manage office and kitchen supply inventory
  • Schedule and reserve conference spaces for meetings
  • Coordinate non-Executive Team travel and hotel blocks for company events
  • Manage desk assignments for remote and new hires
  • Coordinate catering for company lunches
  • Order and manage inventory for onboarding items
  • Oversee gifts for employee life events
  • Support company-wide events and functions with logistics and on-site coordination
  • General Administrative support

A successful candidate will possess the following competencies, skills, and attributes: 

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office products including Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills and ability to multitask
  • Highly organized individual with attention to detail and a strong work ethic
  • Ability to handle confidential and sensitive material
  • Ability to lift and carry office supplies such as boxes of paper, cases of drinks, boxes of coffee, etc.

Location & Hours: The role will be based in our Washington, DC office from 8:30am – 5:30pm

Commitment & Compensation: Compensation will be commensurate with experience.
