Data Analyst

 LoneTree Capital is seeking a skilled, detail-oriented Data Analyst for a Summer 2024 internship. The intern will collaborate with the larger team to design, develop, and maintain data pipelines, ensure data quality and integrity, and contribute to the expansion of the firm’s data warehouse as we migrate CRMs. The ideal candidate not only has strong technical prowess but is also a self-motivated, team player who is able to work independently in a fast-paced environment.

RESPONSIBILITIES: 

• Assist in designing, maintaining, and scaling the LoneTree's CRM/data ecosystem 

• Provide a variety of data validation and data quality assessments as we transition to a new CRM 

• Audit, identify, and articulate data anomalies as we migrate our backend data 

• Assist with implementation of data governance policies, including data cataloging and data lineage 

• Contribute to projects that advance the strategic objectives of the Business Development team

TECHNOLOGY COMPETENCIES: 

• Advanced in Excel 

• Proficiency in SQL and/or Snowflake 

• Familiarity with Power BI and/or Tableau a plus 

• Familiarity with Salesforce a plus 

• Experience designing and implementing optimal data schemas a plus 

• Knowledge of/Experience with implementing best practices in data governance

REQUIREMENTS/QUALIFICATIONS: 

• Must be currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree or advanced degree in Computer Science 

• Previous internship or co-op experience in an analytical role a plus

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills 

• Experience manipulating large data sets, and cleaning/distilling these datasets

 • Excellent written and oral communication skills required 

• Ability to communicate in an efficient and meaningful way with all levels of the organization required,
