Research Associate (f/m/d) for Speech and Audio Processing

Starting from earliest possible date, the 'Signal Processing and Machine Learning' Group at the Institute of Communications Technology is looking for a

Research Associate / Postdoc / Doctoral Candidate (m/f/d) in the field of speech and audio processing

(EG 13 TV-L, full-time/part-time, limited contract for 2 years with a possible prolongation up to 6 years)

The 'Signal Processing and Machine Learning' Group at the Institute of Communications Technology has two vacancies in the area of speech and audio processing to be filled now or later.

Your tasks

- Development of deep neural network (DNN) systems for noise reduction for hearing aids and smartphones
- Training and test of very efficient DNNs for speech enhancement
- Research on generative approaches for speech enhancement
- Research on two-channel DNN solutions for extraction of a target speaker in hearing aids

Your Qualifications

- Completed scientific university studies, especially in the field(s) of computer science, information technology, electrical engineering, applied mathematics.
- Very good English and German language skills, both written and spoken
- Very good knowledge in machine learning, experience with training frameworks (e.g. PyTorch)
- Good knowledge in digital signal processing
- Fascination and engagement in machine learning!
