The Lahontan Regional Water Quality Control Board is recruiting for a full time Staff Services Analyst in its South Lake Tahoe office, located at 2501 Lake Tahoe Boulevard, South Lake Tahoe, CA 96150. The incumbent will be required to report to the South Lake Tahoe office Monday through Friday, 8:00 am – 5:00 pm. Up to two days of telework each week may be considered for California residents after six months in the position.

The Lahontan Region covers 24% of the State of California, from the Oregon border to the Mojave Desert, and from the crest of the Sierra Nevada east to the Nevada border. The Lahontan Region encompasses many scenic vistas from the highest point (Mount Whitney) to the lowest point (Death Valley) in the contiguous US and diverse topography throughout. There are two Outstanding National Resource Waters (Lake Tahoe and Mono Lake) located within the Lahontan Region. By providing administrative support to our technical staff, you play a vital role in restoring, enhancing, and preserving the quality of the Lahontan Region’s water resources and drinking water for the protection of the environment, public health, and all beneficial uses.

Duties of the position include supporting management, technical staff, and administrative staff by collaborating on process improvements; ensuring documents comply with accessibility standards; analyzing and tracking data in various databases; serving as a Public Records Act coordinator; reviewing website pages, links, and data for accuracy and relevancy; performing complex formatting of board agenda items and other complex documents and reports; and providing administrative support at regional board meetings held throughout the region. Salary information – CalHR salary rules allow appointment at the entrance rate (Cal. Code Regs., tit. 2, § 599.673) of a classification. For classes with alternate ranges, placement is based on education/experience.
