What I liked

3D Systems truly made the summer internship experience valuable from every angle. Not only did they give me projects that not only grew my skills professionally, but also added value to the company, which is something I haven't gotten out of every internship I've worked through. Additionally, they host multiple networking events for interns, including dinners and outings with executive leaders which was pretty cool to hear their advice and input on not just 3D Systems, but the professional world as a whole.

What I wish was different

The only struggle I had throughout the summer was that I felt mildly unprepared for some of the work due to my lack of technical knowledge of 3D Printing. Obviously they don't expect a business major to understand the ins and outs of 3D Printing, so they were more than understanding and answered every single question I had. This was no fault of 3D Systems and is an obstacle that can only be overcome with time and experience, something I got better and better with over the summer.

Advice

If you have the opportunity to intern for 3D Systems, definitely do it! The people are great and welcoming and will make sure you have a great summer!
