What I liked
I really enjoy that we have worl closely with and havr direct contact with patients, nurses, and doctors.
What I wish was different
I wished I had gone to the career center at csub sooner. The staff there is very friendly and helpful in helping you find something that works with you.
Advice
Do not be afraid to apply to places just because you're a student with a busy school schedule. Many companies are willing to help students out, and with the help of the career center and handshake I was able to find a suitable place to work.

I love being able to work with the same nurse, one-on-one, each shift. I feel like you get to learn more from that experience than you do in clinicals.
What I wish was different
I wish there was more hands-on experience with charting, but that isn't a big deal.

Learn everything and anything. Each shift is a chance to learn something new.

What I liked
I had a supportive supervisor and the staff at St. Francis Memorial Hospital were very nice for the most part. I also enjoyed the career development workshops and informational interviews conducted as part of Health Career Connections (HCC).
What I wish was different
I wish the tasks I had could have been more hands-on in terms of what I would be doing if I actually worked there. Or gaining the skills I would need to work there.
