What I liked

I had a tremendous experience while a Summer Associate at Fragomen's NYC office. The program was well-organized, jam-packed with fun afterwork events, and it really ignited a passion in me for immigration law. The firm has a collaborative culture, and from day one, my team was so supportive and made me feel welcome--especially my direct supervisor who really took me under his wing and the paralegals who were always there to answer my questions. The work at Fragomen is complex, interesting, and has a big impact on our global economy. I would highly recommend anyone interested in international law to consider working at Fragomen.

If you get the amazing opportunity to work at Fragomen, in any capacity, be prepared to work hard but also to meet and learn from the most respected immigration professionals in the entire world!

What I liked

I really enjoyed working at this firm. I feel that I gained a lot of experience and learned more about the immigration field that focused on law. I also developed close friendships with my coworkers that helped me learn more about law as well as starting to research more about applying to law schools.

What I wish was different

I did wish the pay was a bit higher than the hourly wage I was receiving.

Advice

I would say that working at this law firm was very beneficial when it came to gaining the work experience I needed and as well as help towards applying to law school for me.
