What I liked

I gave me insight in the corporate world and prepared me to hold a job in the future

What I wish was different

I wish i gained more experience in my field. I was in a department where i dealt with database management, but I did not know SQL at the time. I asked my supervisors if I could get trained to work on Qlik. They allowed me to train, however, I did not get much experience with it due to time constraint.

I loved the people I worked with. They put me on interesting projects that helped me learn about compliance and regulators.

What I wish was different

I wish there could have been more of an in person experience.

Advice

To not be afraid to ask for more work. It is always helpful especially in this remote workspace to update supervisors about where you are.

Information Security Intern

What I liked

I enjoyed the freedom I was given to complete tasks the way I was most comfortable. I was also given plenty of opportunities to learn more about the day-to-day functions of employees in my department, and I learned very much about Information Security and some other Computer Science topics.

What I wish was different

I wish that the job application process was more competitive, as I did not have to interview for the position. This has given me no interview experience.

Advice

I would tell future interns to be open minded about learning, and try to talk to as many people as possible. There are many different departments that handle different processes, and it is interesting to meet people who are interested in different things.
