At times, there were gaps without a clear direction of what to work on.

As with most internships, it's vital to take the initiative to get what you want out of the experience. Ask for learning opportunities and you shall receive.

I wish we had more of an inside experience with the work that analysts do; maybe following along a client facing project

What I liked

I loved the structure of the internship program. It began with multiple onboarding programs and seminars in the beginning, and then consisted of project work for the duration of the summer. Interwoven were networking opportunities and events to help learn the culture of Spencer Stuart and meet new people.

What I wish was different

Advice

I would advise interns to communicate efficiently with everyone and step out of your comfort zone to meet as many employees as possible. The employees at Spencer Stuart are extremely intelligent and will teach you a lot in a short period of time.
