Sales Enablement

May 2019 • St. Louis, MO

What I liked

I loved the environment at World Wide Technology. It is very friendly yet competitive. The people around me were always there to help and being assigned a variety of task really broadened my knowledge in the workplace. They give actual work and trust their interns with projects that will be given to higher up employees which is much better and more educational than busy work. Also, there is a capstone project that is given to a group of 8 interns and you must work together in a team so come up with a solution to their problem. That was such a great experience and resume builder. Another plus was that the executive team would constantly come and talk to the interns and try to get to know us which was a very welcoming feeling.

What I wish was different

Occasionally, I would get a little bored because I didn't have enough work to do but if you ask anyone in the office around you then they would help you out.

Advice

Go into this internship with determination. This was such a great work environment that you want them to want you back.

Sales operations intern

May - September 2019 • St. Louis, MO

What I liked

As an intern, I loved that I held as much responsibility as the other employees working there. My coworkers never hesitated to help out when I had questions or teach me something new. And ultimately my work was always recognized and appreciated by the team, which is a great feeling.

What I wish was different

At some points I wish there would’ve been better communication among the team as well as consistent company standards set for the interns from the start.

Advice

Don’t be afraid to ask questions, it can be hard when everyone seems so busy but they are always willing to help which will make more relationships for you and give you more opportunity to learn new skills!

Accounting Intern

January 2018 • St. Louis, MO

What I liked

Great atmosphere especially for young professionals like myself. Everyone is willing to help you succeed and you are not limited to your main role. They offer opportunities to learn more about the technology solutions industry. I found this insightful since I worked solely in Finance. The summer portion of the internship allowed me to connect with students from all around the country here in St. Louis.

What I wish was different

Nothing, I thought the program complimented my coursework perfectly. My manager a team were very understanding and worked with me to create a schedule around my class schedule.

Advice

Meet as many people as you can and learn as much about your role as well as other roles within the company.
