I wish there had been more growth for part time employees as well as opportunities for growth besides just management

Be prepared to be on your feet and lifting the whole time, but it is definitely manageable and an enjoyable work experience

What I liked

I liked the work environment. The training was fairly easy and manageable since this was my very first job. My experienced colleagues and trainer were very professional and kept a positive work atmosphere. I am so glad I had this job as my first job experience. It is very unforgettable. The staff was very friendly and very relaxed.

What I wish was different

I wish that the managers were a little more present in the workplace. I have witnessed about three managers come and go throughout the months I was working and I was never informed about the changes in management. I think communication is very much important between management and employees.

Advice

I would advise the newcomers to "form thick skin" and to hold their ground because there will be some customers that are very difficult, but at the end of the day, it is your job to satisfy the customer and listen to their demands. It is important to be professional and to keep your environment clean and organized, even if it was a coworker that misplaced items because integrity and stability are very important when working in foodservice.
